As of today, 30th October 2018, there are 42 days until polling day.
In Bournemouth East there are 43,627 doors to be knocked and 76,175 voters to be talked to.
In order to speak to every voter I would have to knock roughly 1,039 doors every day from midnight tonight onwards. That equates to 43 per hour (working 24 hours per day) or just under three quarters of a door per minute.
I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m “whimping out” if I apologise now for not being able to speak to everybody over the next 42 days.
I will try my best to knock as many doors as possible and have as many conversations as I can about why this election is so vitally important for the future of our country.
I am planning to hold some street surgeries over the next few weeks so watch this space for details.
I am also currently waiting to confirm a date for a hustings to be held in Southbourne, so I hope to see many of you there.
I’m also more than happy to deal with any questions you might have via Facebook, Twitter or via my email.
So, once again, I apologise if I don’t manage to speak to every voter in person, but rest assured, I’ll be doing my best to get to as many people as possible.Leave a comment
